  • Farewell and Best Wishes to Jon Hass

After 19 years of service, it is time to say our goodbyes to Jon Hass. Jon retired from Dell Technologies last month after a distinguished career of more than 35 years in the technology industry. He served nearly two decades in a variety of leadership roles within the organization, including Chair of the Board.

“Jon has had many roles within DMTF and most recently served as Chair for the past seven years – during a period of rapid change in the world of technology,” said Jeff Hilland, DMTF president. “As one of the industry’s most vocal supporters of interoperable standards, Jon’s tireless work on behalf of DMTF increased the organization’s stature and ensured its enduring relevance. Please join me in a toast of appreciation for his contributions, as we wish him smooth sailing ahead in his retirement!”

"For nearly two decades, Jon made significant contributions to several specifications of key DMTF initiatives including Redfish, SMASH, and DASH," said Hemal Shah, DMTF senior vice president of technology. "Jon's technical leadership as a contributor and Chair helped shape the technical direction of several working groups and task forces of the organization’s Technical Committee. On behalf of DMTF's Technical Committee and community, I would like to thank him for his contributions and wish him a happy retirement."

Congratulations Jon on a standout career and best wishes from all of us at DMTF!
