DMTF and The Open Group are extending their long-standing alliance for standards-based IT management. The new effort will focus on utilizing DMTF’s Redfish® API for out-of-band management in the telemetry process automation space.
Delivering both in-band and out-of-band manageability, DMTF’s Redfish continues to expand to address customer use cases and technology for a holistic data center management experience. The Open Process Automation™ Standard - O-PAS™ - is a standards-based, open, secure, interoperable process control architecture to address both technical and business issues for process automation developed by The Open Group Open Process Automation™ Forum (OPAF). As O-PAS requirements are defined for out-of-band telemetry for utilization metrics, The Open Group will collaborate with DMTF on new Redfish Profiles, extensions and more.
